Security & Privacy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
QualiGrant is used by nonprofits, universities, agencies, and consultants who handle sensitive grant materials. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the documents and information you upload.
For the full legal detail, see our Privacy Policy. If anything here is unclear, email hello@qualigrant.com.
1. What you upload
To run an evaluation you provide two things: a grant document (such as an RFP, NOFO, or funding guidelines) and an organization profile describing your mission, focus areas, and capacity.
You decide what goes into your profile, and you should only upload documents you have the right to share.
2. How your files are stored
- Uploaded documents are kept in access-controlled storage and associated with your account only.
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
- Access is enforced with row-level security, so one account cannot read another account's documents, profiles, or evaluations.
3. Who processes your data
We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure and service providers (subprocessors) to operate QualiGrant. Each processes data only as needed to provide the Service:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| OpenAI | Generates the AI analysis from your document and profile |
| Supabase | Database, file storage, and authentication |
| Stripe | Payment processing (we never see or store full card details) |
| Vercel | Application hosting and delivery |
| PostHog | Privacy-respecting product analytics |
See our Privacy Policy for more detail on these providers and the information they handle.
4. Whether your data trains AI models
No. We do not use your uploaded documents or organization profiles to train our own models, and our AI provider does not use data sent through its API to train its models. Your files are processed only to generate your evaluation.
5. How deletion works
- You can request deletion of your account and all associated data (uploaded documents, organization profiles, and evaluations) by emailing hello@qualigrant.com.
- We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.
6. What you should not upload
Please do not upload:
- Documents you do not have the right to share.
- Special-category or highly sensitive personal data (for example health, biometric, or government-ID information) that is not necessary for a grant evaluation.
- Classified, export-controlled, or otherwise legally restricted material.
QualiGrant is decision-support software, not a secure data room. Share only what is needed to evaluate a grant.
